Downtown Partnership of Baltimore Inc. won its war of tenses with with the Economist.
In the article “Rolling out the welcome mat,” the magazine reported that “Baltimore has been losing people for 60 years.” Kirby Fowler, president of the partnership, also objected to the assertion in the article that Baltimore needed to reverse a population decline, which he said wasn’t true, citing 2012 Census data that the city had a net population growth.
