TIFFANY BLOODSWORTH v. STATE OF MARYLAND

Tiffany Bloodsworth, appellant, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, driving while impaired by drugs or alcohol, negligent driving and reckless driving. After appellant waived her right to a jury trial, the Circuit Court for Wicomico County (Jackson, III, J) found her guilty of all charges. The court subsequently sentenced appellant to incarceration of 104 days, to be served on weekends.

In her timely appeal to this Court, appellant raises the following questions, which we quote:

1. Was appellant’s jury trial waiver knowing and voluntary?

2. Did the trial court abuse its discretion when it refused to allow appellant to call a defense witness who was not timely disclosed?
