Johns Hopkins Community Physicians lease Remington Row space

Seawall Development LLC’s $40 million Remington Row project has a lead tenant.

Johns Hopkins Community Physicians will be the anchor tenant at the 250,000-square-foot mixed use project in North Baltimore. JHCP, which has primary and specialty practices throughout the region, will lease all 30,000 square feet of commercial space in the building’s second floor. The space will be used for outpatient clinical offices that focus on internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics.

“This has been a spectacular team effort, from the day the community first came up with the idea for the project to the hundreds of people who have given so much of their time to help get it approved and underway. We are honored to be a part of it,” Thibault Manekin, a partner at Seawall, said in a news release announcing the lease.

Construction on the building in the 2700 block of Remington Avenue between 27th and 28th streets started in late January. The project involves 15,000 square feet of ground floor retail, 108 apartments and about 270 underground parking spaces.
