Judiciary Seeks $549 million in fiscal 2016; analysts demur

Maryland’s top judge pressed lawmakers Thursday to approve more than $549 million for the Judiciary in fiscal year 2016 — a nearly 10 percent increase from the half-billion dollars appropriated for the judicial branch this fiscal year, which ends June 30.
