Gaithersburg-based Sodexo Inc. has been selected by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a prime contractor to support Department of Defense medical facilities with operations and maintenance services around the world.
Sodexo anticipates that it will bid on and execute multiple task orders under the five-year contract, which is worth up to $198 million. The award follows Sodexo’s 2014 placement on a GSA federal supply schedule for Facilities Management and Maintenance.
“Our technical expertise and capabilities afforded us the privilege to enhance quality of life for millions of military members and their families at home and abroad, while also ensuring greater efficiencies in operations and maintenance,” said Dave Scanlan, government services president of Sodexo, in a statement.
