Debra G. Schubert has had her own law firm since 1991, and this year she will complete her term as president of the Maryland State Bar Association.

She also is an active supporter of veterans and helped establish the first Veterans Court of Maryland. She also supports animal rescue organizations, often organizing and holding fundraisers at her horse farm that have raised thousands of dollars for rescue efforts.
