Jon S. Wilkins, managing director of the Federal Communications Commission, was elected to the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland board of directors. Wilkins brings a combined 21 years of experience in management consulting and the government. After graduating summa cum laude from Dartmouth College and earning a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School, he began his career as a law clerk for Hon. J. Frederick Motz (Senior Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland). After serving as a policy adviser at the FCC, he moved to McKinsey & Company, starting as an associate and working his way up to partner. In 2013, he returned to the FCC in his current role. Supporting NKF-MD is especially meaningful to him because his son underwent a kidney transplant.
