Following a jury trial in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, appellant Trevor Smith was convicted of illegal possession of a firearm. The trial court imposed a sentence 1 of ten years’ imprisonment, with the initial five years to be served without parole.
Smith appeals, challenging both his convictions and sentence, and presents four issues for our review, which we have recast as follows:
