BETHESDA — Metro officials say a train hit something on the tracks between two stations in Bethesda.
Metro spokesman Dan Stessel says no one was hurt and it’s not yet clear what the train struck on Wednesday morning. He says it hit an object, not a person. The train is stopped for an inspection.
The red line train was between the Grosvenor and Medical Center stations. Stessel says service was suspended briefly but now trains are single-tracking around the disabled train.
