Michael P. O’Day
In more than a decade at DLA Piper — the last three years as partner — Michael P. O’Day has built a national litigation practice handling complex commercial disputes.
He has represented and achieved important victories on behalf of the firm’s notable clients, including Marriott, Travelers, Cigna, Allstate and NVR, among others.
“Integrity, professionalism and hard work have been the keys to my success,” O’Day, 39, said. “My litigation practice is diverse, and I have been able to adjust to the significant changes and demands of the legal market. Handling high-stakes matters throughout the country is challenging and rewarding. I am proud of building a successful practice and developing strong client relationships while also having a balanced family life.”
He also gives back to his community through DLA Piper’s Combat Related Special Compensation pro bono program for disabled veterans. Among other things, O’Day oversees the applications for extra benefits for disabled veterans who served in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.
“The firm-wide program has been extremely successful and resulted in awards of monetary benefits for injured combat veterans,” he said.
