Hotel RL debuts on Saturday

New local hotel brand Hotel RL will make its worldwide debut Saturday in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and highlight the Project Wake Up Call initiative, company officials announced Thursday.

The hotel, at 207 E. Redwood St. (formerly the Keyser Building), is a new, urban lifestyle hotel brand that provides guests with a distinctly local travel experience that includes local art, representative dining using locally sourced ingredients, local beverages and a local point of view.  The lobby of each Hotel RL is reminiscent of a town square with The Steps, a place where guests and locals can meet over coffee or cocktails to collaborate on matters important to them.

Project Wake Up Call was conceived by RLHC President and Chief Executive Officer Greg Mount, who was looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact on Baltimore with the opening of the company’s first Hotel RL location.

“Homelessness is an issue that affects every city in the country,” Mount said.  “As we launch our new brand, we want to introduce ourselves as a concerned and engaged partner willing to leverage its resources for the good of the community.  We’re in the shelter business, so working to combat homelessness is an organic extension of who we are as a company and as caring, hospitable individuals.”

Project Wake Up Call Baltimore will serve as a pilot for other cities where RLHC is opening Hotel RL locations.
