The latest building at the Harbor Point development has morphed from an office building to a mix of hotel and office uses.
On Thursday, Beatty Development Group presented schematics for Wills Wharf to the Urban Design and Architecture Review Panel. The building will a total of 315,000 square feet with 225,000 to 250,000 square feet of space being dedicated to office use. The hotel will have between 150 and 175 “keys” (the city for whatever reason requires developers and architects to refer to hotel rooms as keys). There is currently no dollar amount or timeline associated with the project.
“This is still a work in progress,”Beatty Development Group namesake Michael Beatty told panelists.
Harbor Point is one of the largest and most ambitious development projects in Baltimore. The project, which will be home to the 20-story Exelon Energy headquarters and 17-story Point Street Apartments, calls for total of 6 million square feet of mixed-use space and 9.5 acres of open space. The plan also calls for 195,550 square feet of retail, 910 residential units and 1.6 million square feet of office space.
