Is gender holding you back? That’s the question raised in this column by Angela Lee, Assistant dean of the Columbia Business School and founder of 37 Angels.
An obviously successful woman, Lee recalls being overlooked during meetings or stereotyped — based both on her gender and her ethnicity.
In this column, she says:
“Does gender hold you back? I don’t know – it’s a double-sided coin. I’ve felt many minor injustices, yet I don’t think I can genuinely say I have been held back, as a woman or hit the glass ceiling. Enjoy the ride, not the destination!”
What do you think about Lee’s experience? And your own?
