The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore recently named Leslie Pomerantz chief development officer and Allison Baumwald the senior vice president of its annual campaign.
Pomerantz will manage The Associated’s total resource development strategy including the annual campaign, donor cultivation and supplemental funds. She will also work closely with philanthropic planning services to ensure a comprehensive approach to donor relations. Pomerantz, who previously served as senior vice president of development for the past four years, has worked within The Associated system for more than 25 years serving in a variety of capacities at the Jewish Community Center, Jewish Volunteer Connection, the Center for Community Engagement & Leadership and at The Associated. She is a graduate of the first Fundraising University class, a selective high-level development program through the Jewish Federations of North America and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University and an MSW from the University of Maryland School of Social Work.
Baumwald will oversee the Associated’s annual campaign efforts, including affinities, community campaign, top gifts and Associated women. Baumwald, who began her career with The Associated in 2006 as a campaign associate, most recently served as vice president of Associated women for the past five years and has also served as director of development and vice president or resource development. She holds a Master of Arts from Brandeis University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
