Founder & CEO
Luke Cooper is founder and CEO of Peach Labs, a venture backed technology startup that is revolutionizing the insurance industry.
Cooper, 38, grew up in a single-parent household with a father in jail most of his life. He put himself through college playing basketball. He earned a law degree from Syracuse University College of Law and an MBA from Babson College in Massachusetts.
Cooper practiced law, serving a stint as in-house counsel at State Farm, and later allowed his entrepreneurial spirit to flourish and started Peach, where he was accepted in the prestigious TechStars Rising Stars program.
Cooper’s fast-growing company has an ambitious goal to tie real-time property loss to 21st century insurance solutions. And they are doing just that with their patented solution DropBot, which automatically detects damage to your smartphone and handles the repair or replacement in just a few hours.
“I am living proof that entrepreneurship is the most effective tool in solving abject poverty,” Cooper said.
He supports a variety of organizations that support that idea, including Gather Baltimore, Living Classrooms and the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship.
Cooper also serves on the board of the Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO).
