Sen. Kelley to speak at WIMHE luncheon

Maryland state Sen. Delores Kelley will be the guest speaker at the Women in Maryland Higher Education’s annual luncheon and lend her voice to the topic of “Conversation Changers: Evolving Leadership Roles Women Play in Higher Education.”

The luncheon is scheduled for Nov. 6 at Stevenson University, 1525 Greenspring Valley Road. Tickets are $50 per person and registration is available starting October 1, 2015 at http://www.wmhe.org/

Kelley will discuss her own experiences in her evolving leadership roles as both an educator and legislator. As one of the few educators in the Senate, she has helped changed the conversation regarding education policy in Maryland. Her passion for education continues in representing the State of Maryland on the Education Commission of the States and as Senate representative on the Maryland Council on Educator Effectiveness.
