Sports Legends museum leaving Camden Yards

The Babe Ruth Birthplace Foundation posted a note on its website explaining that the Sports Legends at Camden Yards museum has ceased operations after it was unable to reach a deal regarding its lease with the Maryland Stadium Authority.

Following long negotiations, the Babe Ruth Birthplace Foundation declined to renew its lease with the Maryland Stadium Authority (MSA) at Camden Station, the northeast corner of the Camden Yards complex. Sports Legends has been a primary tenant in Camden Station since 2005, when the State of Maryland, the Babe Ruth Birthplace Foundation, and private contributors invested millions of dollars in the building’s renovation.

Sports Legends at Camden Station is now closed to the public as the foundation board searches diligently for a new location.

While this is a major time of change for the museum and for Baltimore, we are excited to move ahead in a new chapter, and know that there are plenty of questions you may want to ask. Look no further, we may just have your answer right here.
