QRS of Maryland LLC, a joint venture between QRS and Canuse-Hershman Recycling Center, celebrated the opening of a $15 million recycling facility in Dundalk.
The state-of-the-art plant has $10 million in high-tech processing equipment and is expected to employ 60 full-time workers when operating at capacity.
“Our newest Plastic Recovery Facility in Baltimore County provides communities and recyclers throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions with a reliable, domestic processing solution for mixed, post-consumer plastic containers,” Greg Janson, CEO of QRS, said in a news release.
Baltimore County is assisting QRS in finding employees. Job seekers interested in employment at the plant can find assistance at work centers in Eastpoint, Liberty Road and Hunt Valley.
