LUKE — State Highway Administration geologists are assessing the stability of a mountainside in the western Maryland town of Luke after a rock slide prompted closure of state Route 135 over the weekend.
Spokesman David Buck said Monday that one of the two lanes reopened Sunday after a barrier wall was installed.
Buck says engineers hope to have more information about the situation by early afternoon.
A nearby section of the highway was closed by a rock slide for several days in April.
