Keith R. Truffer has been appointed to the bench in Baltimore County Circuit Court, Gov. Larry Hogan announced Wednesday.
Truffer, who clerked in the county courthouse, replaces Judge Timothy J. Martin, who retired in March.
Truffer has been with Royston, Mueller, McLean & Reid LLP in Towson since 1983 and a partner since 1989. The University of Baltimore School of Law graduate previously served as a trust lawyer for the Mercantile-Safe Deposit and Trust Co.
“After conducting a thorough vetting process, I am confident that Mr. Truffer is the most qualified candidate to fill this vacancy,” said Hogan said in a statement. “Mr. Truffer’s decades of legal experience in Baltimore County have prepared him to be a strong advocate for the law and the citizens of the county, and I offer my sincere congratulations.”
