Richard Titus has been appointed to the bench in Carroll County Circuit Court, Gov. Larry Hogan announced Wednesday.
Titus replaces Judge Michael M. Galloway, who retired earlier this month. The appointment will take effect immediately.
A graduate of University of Baltimore School of Law, Titus has practiced for more than 25 years and is a principal at Hollman, Maguire, Titus & Korzenewski Chtd. in Westminster, according to a news release.
“After conducting a thorough vetting process, I am confident that Mr. Titus will be a strong advocate for the law and for the citizens of Carroll County,” Hogan said in a statement. “Mr. Titus’ decades of legal experience in Carroll County have prepared him well for this appointment and I offer my sincere congratulations.”
Titus previously clerked for judges in Carroll County and Montgomery County and worked at Burdow & Noble P.C. in Bethesda.
