A plastic container company is set to close its Baltimore plant, resulting in the loss of 79 jobs.
York, Pa.-based Graham Packaging Co. L.P. told the state Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation that the layoffs due the closure of the plant on Kane Street would happen in two waves: The first one, April 1 to 13, would cut 18 jobs. The remaining 61 jobs would be cut June 3 to 17.
The department said it would reach out to the company and provide services as needed.
A spokesperson for Graham Packaging could not be reached for comment early Tuesday morning.
