Bethesda-based Terraform Power Inc. on Friday announced that the company and its Missouri-based parent SunEdison Inc. had settled disputes with shareholders of a Chilean firm after a failed deal to acquire the third company.
Shareholders of Latin America Power Holding BV had filed a lawsuit against both companies in New York state court and had another related arbitration proceedings. All parties now agree that SunEdison will not acquire Latin America Power Holding.
SunEdison must pay $28.5 million to the shareholders; Terraform has no obligation under the settlement. None of the parties admitted to wrongdoing or liability regarding the claims in the dispute.
