MONICA MONIQUE MYERS v. STATE OF MARYLAND

Criminal procedure — Lay opinion testimony — Attempt to throw hot grease

Following a jury trial in the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, appellant, Monica Monique Myers, was convicted of reckless endangerment. The court sentenced her to five years in prison, suspending all but seven days, with credit for seven days’ time served.

Appellant now presents a single question for our consideration:

Did the trial court err in permitting the complainant to offer lay opinion testimony that Appellant “tried” to throw hot grease on him?
