Seeking to make its mark in the digital space, Under Armour has launched its first shopping app, adding a new layer to the brand’s Connected Fitness platform.
UA Shop seeks to offer users a “personalized experience” through people’s user history, previous purchase history and geographical location. For example, for a runner who lives in a warmer climate who uses MapMyRun, the app will recommend running shoes and apparel from Under Armour’s CoolSwitch line, which is designed to pull heat away from the skin.
The app is available for download on the App Store and will be available for Android devices soon, the company said.
“UA Shop is the next step in our connected fitness evolution as Under Armour becomes a true Math House,” said Jason LaRose, Under Armour’s senior vice president of revenue.
