Criminal procedure — Motion to suppress evidence — Recording of a 911 call

Appellant, Javone Joshua Smith, was convicted by a jury in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County of illegal possession of a regulated firearm, pursuant to Section 5-133 (b) of the Public Safety Article.

After he was sentenced to three years, with all but eighteen months suspended, to be followed by three years supervised probation , the appellant timely appealed, presenting the following question for our review: Did the circuit court abuse its discretion in admitting as evidence a recording of a 911 call?
