Md. governor appoints 2 judges on Eastern Shore

ANNAPOLIS — Gov. Larry Hogan has appointed two judges on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Hogan announced Friday that he has appointed two state’s attorneys to be circuit court judges.

Caroline County State’s Attorney Jonathan Newell and Wicomico County State’s Attorney Matthew Maciarello have been appointed to the bench in their respective counties.

Newell has been a state’s attorney since 2003. Maciarello has served since 2011.
