Deborah Williams has been named a vice president of commercial banking with 1st Mariner Bank, the largest independently owned bank in Baltimore. Williams will lead commercial banking efforts in the Northeast and Harford County markets. Before joining 1st Mariner Bank, Williams spent 21 years with M&T Bank and its predecessor. Outside of the office, Williams is the immediate past chair of the Harford Community College Foundation Board, an organization she has worked with for 18 years. She also serves as vice chair of finance for the Harford County Chamber of Commerce, the largest chamber in the State, and is a board member of the Harford County Public Library Foundation and the Rockfield Foundation. Williams has been named to The Daily Record’s Top 100 Women three times and is a member of the Circle of Excellence. She was named the Small Business Administration’s Financial Services’ Advocate of the Year in 2004 and gained the SBA Financial Services Champion Hall of Fame in 2012. In addition she is an Athena Award recipient and a Paul Harris Fellow.
