Baltimore-based Under Armour Inc. has signed a new lease to expand in San Francisco from 11,000 square feet of office space to 50,000 square feet.

The new location will be in a five-story building in the city’s SOMA neighborhood. Architecture firm Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, who has designed Under Armour’s proposed global headquarters at Port Covington, has been chosen to design the new San Francisco space.

“Under Armour’s expanded footprint in San Francisco provides the brand with the opportunity to support the company’s aggressive growth plans, including access to best-in-class tech talent in the Bay Area and reinforces UA’s commitment to Connected Fitness,” Neil Jurgens, the company’s vice president of corporate real estate, said in a news release.
