Lorie Latham, CFA has been named a senior defined contribution strategist and Michael Davis the head of defined contribution plan specialists at Baltimore-based global investment management organization T. Rowe Price.
Latham will consult with key institutional relationships on a range of strategy and policy matters and serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader on large-market defined contribution issues. She comes to T. Rowe Price from Towers Watson Investment Services in Chicago. At TWIS, she served as director and defined contribution strategy leader, providing investment consulting services to defined contribution plans; she also led the Defined Contribution Steering Committee responsible for the firm’s strategy and thought leadership. Prior to Towers Watson, Latham was a vice president with Ibbotson Associates and led the plan sponsor consulting practice and the portfolio construction team for managed accounts. Previously, she was a senior portfolio manager at J.P. Morgan. Ms. Latham holds a bachelor’s degree from Wright State University and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.
Davis will lead the team responsible for expanding the firm’s reach and strategic engagement capabilities in the U.S. institutional DCIO marketplace. Most recently, he served as director of institutional client relations at Calvert Investments. Previously, he was senior vice president and head of the stable value business for Prudential Financial. Davis also served as deputy assistant secretary for an agency of the U.S. Department of Labor responsible for overseeing U.S. private sector retirement and health benefit plans. There he was directly involved with the administration, management, and policy initiatives of the agency. Mr. Davis began his career at J.P. Morgan, where he held various senior positions more than 17 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and a master’s in public policy from Harvard University.
