A plane experience at Port Covington Manufacturing Bootcamp

Yesterday, woodworking instructor Brian Graham, center, taught a group of Port Covington Manufacturing Bootcamp participants to plane wood at The Foundery at City Garage. This is the second group of 16 individuals selected by the Center for Urban Families and sponsored by Sagamore Development, The Commercial Group, and Whiting-Turner, will learn a variety of skills in the six week program such as wielding, CNC Machinery, Textiles, 3D printing and woodworking. The first group of 8 students graduated in January of 2017 and all received job offers immediately following the Bootcamp. (The Daily Record/Maximilian Franz)
