Miller, 74, reported feeling light-headed sometime after presiding over a Senate floor session earlier in the day. A nurse on duty at the State House recommended Miller be checked out by a physician, according to a spokesman for the Senate president.

By late afternoon, Miller was back on the State House complex and spoke at a Democratic Party rally against President Donald Trump that took place in Lawyer’s Mall.

“They said I had too much coffee,” Miller said. “I think I do too much of everything.”
