YAHSIM VAUGHN v. STATE OF MARYLAND

Criminal law — Sufficiency of the evidence — Attempted second-degree murder

A jury in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City convicted Yahsim Vaughn, appellant, of attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and other related offenses.

He contends on appeal that the evidence was insufficient to sustain his convictions and that the court should have declared a mistrial after an incident wherein someone may have attempted to influence the jury.
