In more merger news for Ballard Spahr, the Philadelphia-based firm is merging with Levine Sullivan Koch & Schulz effective Oct. 1.
The merged firms will keep the name Ballard Spahr and bring together two national media law practices.
All 25 of LSKS’s lawyers, including its four name partners, will join Ballard Spahr in its Washington, New York, Philadelphia and Denver offices. LSKS is well known for its deep bench of top-tier First Amendment attorneys, the firms said in a joint press release Tuesday, and its lawyers have argued cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and state and federal courts across the country.
“With the arrival of LSKS, we will have one of the largest practices of its kind in the country. The LSKS lawyers are terrific people whose dedication to this critically important work mirrors ours. It is an exciting development for both firms,” said Ballard Spahr chairman Mark Stewart.
This is the second merger announcement from Ballard Spahr in the past week. The firm announced last week a merger with Lindquist & Vennum effective Jan. 1.
The new firm will keep the name Ballard Spahr and will have more than 650 lawyers in 15 offices nationwide.
