Ted Davidson reluctantly joined his father’s business valuation firm, Spardata, after earning a bachelor’s degree in communications from Boston College in 2009.
“I wouldn’t say I went in kicking and screaming, but it was never where I pictured myself. Yet the longer I worked there, the more I learned and progressed as a professional,” he said. “I realized how fortunate I was to have the space to try out new ideas.”
He has since become a principal and its chief marketing officer. With the addition of two other partners, the team of four – which includes his father, Brad – launched Par Collective, which contains consulting firms Spardata and Unique Asset Partners along with a broad range of real estate development projects, including The CO-OP, which offers premium office suites for rent in Mount Vernon and Station North neighborhoods.
In 2014, Spardata moved its offices from Howard County to the first CO-OP site at 12 W. Madison St. in Baltimore, near Dooby’s. The newest CO-OP site in Station North is at 1734 Maryland Ave.
“The bulk of our development work focuses on the two locations of The CO-OP, co-working spaces that appeal to growing enterprises,” he said. “I’ve really gotten connected to my Mount Vernon neighbors, and our developments try and foster a more livable community in downtown Baltimore.”
Davidson said he builds structures to help others around him reach their goals. “I connect the key dots in our community and assemble the resources necessary so we can advance from a vision to getting things done.”
