University of Maryland Shore Medical Pavilion construction starts

Baltimore-based Klein Enterprises started construction this week on the 50,000-square-foot University of Maryland Shore Medical Pavilion in Denton.

Construction on the project is expected to be complete by the end of next year and to open in early 2019. University of Maryland Shore Regional Health has pre-leased the building for 20 years.

“We are thrilled to be able to work with the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health in creating this state-of-the-art medical center for the residents of Denton and Caroline County,” Daniel Klein, president of Klein Enterprises said in a statement. “Together, our teams were able to quickly and efficiently get this project off the ground in order to bring the exceptional medical services they offer to the local community.”

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health plans to use the facility, at the intersection of Route 404 and Deep Shore Road, for a variety of services, including family medicine, laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging.
