Ballard Spahr LLP
Anna Mahaney has earned leadership roles in the Baltimore Office of Ballard Spahr due to her extensive knowledge, hard work, attention to detail, and reliability.
As a partner before the age of 40 in a prestigious law firm, she has handled billions of dollars in complex real estate financing transactions. She is lead counsel for a number of valued, long-standing clients of the firm.
Additionally, her pro bono clients have included a local nonprofit developer who needed help financing affordable rental housing for recovering addicts and a faith-based nonprofit seeking property for a homeless shelter.
She is chairman of a committee focused on mentorship for Community Law in Action Mentoring Program.
“Law, real estate, and finance are professional fields where men have historically far outnumbered women – especially women under 40,” Mahaney says. “Through my efforts to excel at the intersection of these three fields, I am proud to serve as a role model and inspire others to pursue their professional goals and dreams –even when it means overcoming traditional barriers.”
