Diane M. Croghan
Chief of Staff
Anne Arundel County Executive
As the first female chief of staff for the Anne Arundel County Executive in 25 years and the second female to ever hold that title in the county, Diane Croghan works every day to empower and embolden women leaders. She’s also credited with pivoting the county into a new, better direction.
“Ms. Croghan’s service to county government, but more importantly to county citizens, cannot be understated. Ms. Croghan almost single-handedly built the current administration. It was her keen insight into Anne Arundel County, its history, and its issues that guided her steady hand as she conducted hundreds of interviews and meetings to build this government,” says Nancy McCutchan Duden, Anne Arundel’s County Attorney, said.
In addition to serving as direct adviser to County Executive Steven Schuh and supervising 25 employees, Croghan serves on the boards of the Red Cross of Maryland, the Central Maryland Chamber, the YWCA TWIN Award Committee and the Colleen and Erin Marlatt Scholarship Board.
