Jennifer Arice White
Health Equity Partnership Manager
American Heart Association
Jennifer Arice White helps lead the American Heart Association’s work toward building an equitable, sustainable culture of health and well-being in the community.
In 2017, White was appointed to serve on the board-level Health Equity and Determinants of Health Taskforce at the American Heart Association. As health equity partnership manager she has contributed to the success of more than 60 pieces of legislation passed at the state and local level to help children become more heart-healthy as part of the Voices for Health Kids Initiative. These legislative efforts have included bicycle and pedestrian appropriations, healthy food access, and early care and education.
She mentors recent graduates via volunteer organizations such as the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the Morgan State University Alumni Association and The Black Beltway.
“Each day, my professional and personal worlds collide,” she says. “I am fortunate to understand the realities of my community and translate this energy and knowledge through consistent service and a commitment to make transformational change.”
