Samantha Bowling was 34 when she was named the first woman partner of Garbelman Winslow, CPAs, in July 2005.

Bowling is the founder and chairman of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) task force for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion that creates a network of resources and relationships to enable and empower a diverse profession to expand their personal definition of success and achieve fulfilling careers.

She also volunteers with Junior Achievement of Central Maryland to teach students to spend wisely and save early and often. In 2012, she created The Matthew Adams Heart Foundation in memory of her husband’s friend, who died suddenly. The purpose of the foundation is to educate people about heart illnesses and provide support to people affected by them.
