Kathleen Momme has raised more than $22 million for the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore over her 24-year tenure as executive director.
She has expanded the staff while keeping administrative costs at 19 percent, below the national average for nonprofits of 35 percent. She works to inspire others to make an impact in education, financial stability and health for the community.
She serves on the Mayors Task Force for Addiction and the Regional Coalition on Heroin and Addiction.
How can you help make a difference for women or help women come together?
By being a role model, opening as many doors for qualified women as I can and most importantly mentoring and encouraging women to lift each other up to be the best they can be.
