Gordon Feinblatt LLC
Ned T. Himmelrich is a highly valued member of the firm of Gordon Feinblatt, LLC because of both his practice on intellectual property since the beginning of the “internet age” and his strong commitment to community service. He concentrates on IP, Internet, computer, advertising and business law matters.
Himmelrich “wrote the book” on trademark law for Maryland lawyers, co-worker Pam Custer said. He authored the chapter on federal and state trademark law for the Maryland State Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Handbook for Maryland Business and Litigation Lawyers.
“I believe people have a better understanding of IP law because of my influence and ability to explain concepts,” Himmelrich said. “I have always been interested in teaching and mentoring, so being involved in a constantly evolving area of law has allowed me to share.”
He heads Feinblatt’s Technology & Intellectual Property Group and is a member of the firm’s Business Law Practice Group.
Himmelrich was named as the 2017 Baltimore “Best Lawyer of the Year” in information technology law by Best Lawyers in America.
Previously the group named him the 2016 Baltimore “Lawyer of the Year” in trademark law, the 2014 Baltimore “Lawyer of the Year” in technology law and the 2013 Baltimore “Lawyer of the Year” in copyright law. He has been named a Best Lawyers in America for copyright law, information technology law, technology law, trade secrets law and trademark law since 2005.
He was also honored by Maryland Super Lawyers for intellectual property law from 2007 to 2009 and 2012 to 2018. He is past Chairman of the Maryland Bar Association’s IP Section and remains an active member. He is also a member of the Darrell D. Friedman Institute for Professional Development and of the Hillel Council of the Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore. At the law firm for many years, Ned was head of the summer associate program providing mentorship and coordination to law students. He is the current chair of the Recruiting Committee.
