Cirque du Soleil has returned to Baltimore with “Crystal,” its first show featuring a combination of ice skating and acrobatics, bringing with it hometown boy Scott Smith, who went to Friends school from kindergarten through eighth grade before moving in 1996.

After 22 years, he appeared back at Mt. Pleasant Ice Rink with his fellow performer Shawn Sawyer, blond hair, a 2006 Olympian with the Canadian figure skating team, to perform one of their acts and lead a clinic for the Baltimore Figure Skating Club’s intermediate skaters.

“Crystal” will have a six-show run at the Royal Farms Arena from Thursday to Sunday
