After 13 years with 1st Mariner Bank, what excited you about your new position with CFG Community Bank?

I worked at 1st Mariner Bank for 13 years and have gained over 35 years of experience in the industry. Throughout my career, I was given opportunities to serve in roles such as credit analyst, loan officer, wholesale mortgage underwriter, business development officer and sales development officer. I was excited to work at CFG Community Bank to be a part of a unique financial institution and be involved in health care financing, which has allowed me to achieve diversity and growth within my new role.

If you had not chosen banking as a profession, what profession would you choose and why?

If I had not chosen banking, I would have chosen to be a chef! I love to cook and explore my creativity in the kitchen.

Favorite vacation:

We recently purchased a home near Rehoboth where we plan to spend time with friends and family, but I love Key West!

When I want to relax, I … :

Find a beach, take a day drive, and eat at a nice restaurant with my husband. I also like to relax by spending time at home with friends and family where, of course, food is always involved.

Favorite music:

One of my favorite bands is Maroon Five and I love anything Motown.

Favorite quotation:

I tell my kids that I had to be on my own at a young age. I learned quickly to adapt. In the ever-changing financial industry, the concept is similar. A large part of my success is having a positive attitude, especially with change.  I step out of my comfort zone. I tell my children that nothing in life comes for free. There are no handouts.  “Hard work pays off, you have to earn it!”
