Morgan State University’s student service center will team up with department store JCPenney this weekend to help students look the part at job interviews.

As part of its Suit Up event, the store will welcome students to a private event at its White Marsh Mall location Saturday morning where students can get advice on how to dress for interviews. Morgan State faculty, staff and alumni will join JCPenney staff to help give the students advice on what to wear, how to wear it and more.

The store will also offer a 40 percent discount to Morgan State students with a valid ID.

JCPenney will also offer giveaways to students to encourage them to come out. These incentives include a free makeover at Sephora Inside JCPenney and a salon consultation. The first 25 students will receive giveaways from Sephora Inside JCPenney and JCPenney Salon.

The JCPenney event is not students’ only chance to dress for success. The Morgan State Career Closet offers clothes so students can dress up for interviews, networking events and career fairs.

The closet is supported by contributions from the community, including the school’s president, David Wilson.
