A Baltimore professional marketing services firm is providing a new benefit to members of an organization that represents municipalities in Maryland.
Van Eperen will provide complimentary crisis communications consulting services to municipal members of the Maryland Municipal League, the company announced. The initial consultation is free for any appointed or elected official that is a member of the league, the company said in a news release.
Scott Hancock, executive director of the Maryland Municipal League, said not all members have experience or a plan for communication during crises.
The firm already serves some members of the league, and will provide the consulting services to ready local leaders before a crisis happens, said Laura Van Eperen, CEO of Van Eperen, in a statement.
