Technical issues plaguing the Maryland Judiciary’s online Case Search appear to have been fixed as of Wednesday morning.
Online case details were not available for counties using the Maryland Electronic Courts system Tuesday as the Judiciary worked to restore access.
By the afternoon, Case Search had been restored with “limited capabilities,” according to an update posted to the Judiciary’s website, but case details remained unavailable for 20 counties, all of which use MDEC, as of 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Electronic filing is mandatory in Allegany, Anne Arundel, Calvert, Caroline, Carroll, Cecil, Charles, Dorchester, Frederick, Garrett, Harford, Howard, Kent, Queen Anne’s, Somerset, St. Mary’s, Talbot, Washington, Wicomico and Worcester counties.
A spokeswoman for the Judiciary said she was not aware of any issues with the MDEC system.
