Hartman Executive Advisors
Dave Hartman and his wife, Marie, founded Hartman Executive Advisors nearly 15 years ago after noticing a significant gap in the way many organizations viewed their technology systems and IT departments. The Timonium-based company was created on the concept that technology is often overwhelming and confusing to business leaders but critical to the success and growth of their organization.
“A completely independent, trusted and knowledgeable executive advisor is a must-have in the C-suite,” Hartman said. “While most small and midsized businesses don’t need and can’t afford the services of a full-time chief information officer, they also cannot afford to be without strategic IT leadership to help them align technology with increased revenue, innovation, efficiency, customer service and risk mitigation.”
A United States Navy veteran, Hartman knew he wanted to own his own business while earning his bachelor’s degree at College of Holy Cross. “I love the fact that we have a great team,” he said. “I love working with the kind of team we have built. It is exactly the kind of team I was probably meant to lead — a team of real professionals who really value their careers and work very hard to help our clients. … I think we are doing something really special and I love the impact that we have on clients large and small.”
As a way to thank those who helped him personally and professionally throughout the years, Hartman sits on a number of boards including Hamilton Bank, Howard Community College Foundation and the Greater Baltimore Committee. “It just feels right to give back,” he said. “I think that is everyone’s obligation — to pay it forward.”
