Deandra Coleman has made helping others a priority in her life, both in Deandra Coleman Interiors and her personal life.

“Being sought by individuals who want my mentorship and leadership in helping them start and grow their business is the biggest honor to me,” Coleman said. “Having a front-row seat to the success and accomplishments of a new career that I’ve helped develop and shape, knowing that I have made a positive impact, is more important to me than meeting milestones, benchmarks and timelines.”

Coleman is the founder of Youth Embracing Success (YES) and partners with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington, D.C, mentoring middle and high school girls in esteem building, goal setting, decision making and leadership.

“It is my personal mission to lead a life that the girls can model and aspire to,” Coleman said. “Using the setbacks in my life as teaching tools, I encourage the girls to embrace their ambition, find what inspires them and to be each other’s cheerleaders. My goal is always to uplift, encourage and provide an avenue of acceptance and self-love.”

Fully engaged in her community, Coleman is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc where she serves at The Arts chair and technology co-chair of the Delta Pi Omega chapter in Annapolis.
