Director of Communication & Marketing
Planned Parenthood of Maryland
In her role as director of communication and marketing for Planned Parenthood of Maryland, Dana Robinson works tirelessly to advocate for the reproductive rights of women. But her commitment to equal rights, opportunities and access for all women goes beyond her duties as a communications professional.
In 2009, she helped establish the Society for Girls, Inc. a nonprofit dedicated to the empowerment of girls. Today, she is vice chair and regularly mentors girls in the program. In 2018, she was chosen to serve on the Baltimore City Women’s Commission, an achievement Robinson considers her biggest professional accomplishment. Her mantra is “service before self,” and she advocates to lift the voices of those unheard.
“The thing that makes Dana so unique is that so much of her professional work is rooted in her personal commitment to improving the lives of young women and communities in Baltimore and beyond. Dana’s vision for working with underserved and overlooked populations in a holistic and culturally sensitive manner is what makes her a stellar colleague,” Vanessa Geffrard, vice president of education and outreach for Planned Parenthood of Maryland, said.
